Education for Life NGO was invited to attend Rio+20: United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development. Javier Collado submitted a proposal for educational reform at global level (you can read it here: proposal for Rio+20) which was one of the most voted throughout the world in the group of Sustainable Development for Eradication of Poverty.

In this way, on June 16, 2012, the proposal was submitted to extensive discussion with the Heads of State from over 100 countries:
The educational proposal aims to contribute to achieve the Millennium Development Goals for 2015 and 2025 created, among others, by the Director of the Earth Institute Mr. Jeffrey D. Sachs.
In this conference, Education for Life had the opportunity to meet great people from all over the world, who provided outstanding work and visions to achieve Sustainable Development. After one week of conversations between 65,000 people coming from all over the world, it was launched the “The Future We Want“.

In addition, the President of the NGO presented, together with other professionals from different continents, a conference in The Peoples´ Summit, the largest event of civil mobilization around the world, where he spoke about how “Empowering Future. Education as a key for a just and sustainable world”.
